A Tale of 3 Dresses

Alicia & Sung's 'Day After' Session
New York City, NY

Alicia contacted us because she wanted to do a fun New York City portrait session showing off 3 of the gowns she wore on her wedding day. Often wedding time lines can be hectic and things don't go as planned, so she thought a more casual 'Day After' Session would allow for some additional creative portraits in each of her outfits.

Because we weren't Alicia & Sung's wedding day photographers we had no idea what to expect when we met these two in Colombus Circle... The dresses were all beautiful - the Korean Tea Ceremony Dress, the Chinese Red Dress & Alicia's White Wedding Gown each had their own character. We enjoyed shooting each outfit in a different part of the city... the first dress in Columbus Circle and Central Park, the second in a swanky NYC bar (the Ava Lounge) & rooftop and the third against the backdrop of downtown wall street.

Although it was hot out, Alicia & Sung were good sports walking the city in their finery. We huffed and puffed a little carrying our cameras, but we think it was well worth it! We'd photograph these two again in a heartbeat no matter what they were wearing! :)

WOW. These photographs are amazing. They are vibrant, engaging, spirited and full of life -- just like all of the rest of your amazing images that piqued our interest in your studio to begin with. We are absolutely thrilled with the results and cannot wait to see the rest of the photos! While we did not have the pleasure of working with you and Steven on our wedding day, you can still be sure we will be recommending your work to everyone we know!! Thank you so very much for your patience on portrait day (three outfits were a lot, I know!!) as well as the tremendous talent you channeled through your lenses.
